Cameroon: Two Children Die of Food Poisoning in Kumba

Two children of the same family have lost their lives in Kumba yesterday after eating Irish potatoes, prepared by their mother. The kids aged 4 and 2 were died while playing with their friends after the meal. According to the Achamo Christy, mother of the deceased kids, the children are the food in the house and then went out to play where they unfortunately met their waterloo. The deceased kids we gathered were called Kibem Christopher and Becabery.

On Saturday, October 24, 2020, unidentified gunmen according to eyewitness accounts stormed the Mother Francisca International Bilingual College Fiango, a neighbourhood in Kumba in Meme Division, Southwest region, killing several students and leaving others with life-threatening injuries. The gunmen according to many were separatist fighters reportedly from Matoh, a village around the outskirts of Kumba.
