HYSACAM Commence Projects to Generate Electricity from Waste

The multinational waste management company in Cameroon, HYSACAM, has reportedly started three projects for electricity generation which according to them have no equivalence in Sub-Saharan African. The first of these projects consist of the construction of a power plant that will run on gas generated by the 360,000tons of waste dumped every year at the site in Yaounde. It is called the “Landfill Gas and Use” and situated at the landfill site at Nkolfoulou, a village in Yaounde.
