The president of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, has slammed back at the World Health Organization-WHO and Economic Community of West African States-ECOWAS for refusing to validate Covid Organic for the treatment of Coronavirus even after many African countries are now queuing for it. According to President Rajoelina, they are only refusing or delaying because the remedy is from Africa. He said, “The problem is that it comes from Africa.”

It has been 6o years and this day often is often marked with a series of activities led by the President. Despite the global health crisis, events are still being held today but individuals including authorities could be seen with masks amid celebrations. This day is no doubt filled with joyful song but some people still have fresh memories of scars, agony and pains incurred under the colonialist.

Andry Rajoelina, Madagascar’s president has unveiled prototypes of brand new home-made cars and motorbikes expected hit the roads by 2023. They are called GasyCar and are the second brand of automobiles Madagascar is manufacturing. They reportedly manufactured the Karenjy in 1984 and it was launched by the government. It was in 1989, that Karenjy produced two popemobiles for the visit of Pope John Paul II. According to reports, another popemobiles was produced in 2019 for Pope Francis.

In a video posted on Public Health Ministry's official Facebook page, Minister Prof Jean Louis Rakotovao said, "There are still many steps to be taken before access to the vaccines, but the registration is already an important step in the process."
