Delayed, Chad Stretches out of CEMAC to Push Through with its Railway Project.

AfDB Disburses XAF26 billion for the Interconnecting Logone Bridge between Cameroon to Chad

The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank–AfDB have approved a grant of XAF26.2 billion for the construction of a bridge over the Logone River which will connect Yagoua in Cameroon to Bongor in Chad.
This grants as stipulated in a report by the project management team to the Bank's Board, the funds will not only be used to co-finance the construction of the bridge but equally the connecting roads as well as the feasibility studies.

Chad: Army General Sacked for Criticizing President Idriss Deby

Ahmat Koussou Moursal, a Chadian army general has been sacked for criticizing the President Idriss Deby.
The army general allegedly wrote an open letter in which he detailed everything critical of the Head of State.
According to sources, Moursal in the letter is said to have said that the president have abandoned his former colleagues in arms in the South-eastern Chad in a locality called Guera.

BDEAC Grants to Cameroon and Three other CEMAC Countries CFAF 155.05 billion for Development Projects

The Development Bank of Central Africa-DBCAS, commonly known by its French acronym as BDEAC has granted CFAF 155.05 billion to Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, and Chad for development projects.
With the above funds, the four countries; Cameroon, Gabon, Chad, and Congo will be able to implement 13 projects. It was on July 10th, 2020, through a videoconference of the BDEAC’s boards of director that this funding was validated, reports Business in Cameroon.
