For the past three days, shooting has characterized the atmosphere in Kumbo, North West Region of Cameroon following the return of their Fon, Sehm Mbinglo I. Both the government forces and the separatist fighters are main occupants of some parts of the town as they patrol the nocks and crannies, shooting at will and sending inhabitants in hidings

TRADITION VS CHRISTIANITY: Christians, Religious at Loggerheads over Cardinal Tumi’s Traditional Honor

Following the traditional honour of Christian Cardinal Tumi by the Nso community in Grand Hangar, Douala, last week, there has been a social media cold war between converts and traditional believers on his strength and limitation, and influence as a man of God. The title traditionally conferred on the Catholic Cardinal, Christian Cardinal Tumi at Lav Mfuh, Grand Hanger Bonaberi was Shufaay Kintam. In Lamnso, the dialect of the Nso people from where the Cardinal hails, “Kintam” means, the cross.

The Foumban monumental gateway which was razed down by fire on November 29, 2020 has been rehabilitated and inaugurated. It was yesterday Sunday, February 14th, 2021 that the ancestral building which symbolizes a pan of the city's history was inaugurated. It was an occasion that brought in the daughters and sons of Bamoun who were rallied by their Sultan, Ibrahim Mbombo NJOYA.
