Just months after Cameroon was certified free of poliomyelitis, cases of the virus have been detected in the country’s capital city. The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Malachie Manaouda on Wednesday June 17th, 2020 tweeted, “I am particularly happy to announce that Cameroon has proudly been certified as a polio-free country. Bravo to the whole team led by Prof Tetaye and to all those who worked for this great victory…”
