Six children have been killed and 2 others injured in an attack Tuesday, October 31, blamed on Boko Haram militants. CJARC to mobilize 100 white canes for virtually impaired persons

The club for young rehabilitated blind persons, CJARC, has launched a campaign to mobilize 100 white canes for 100 virtually impaired persons ahead of the 37th edition of the international day of the white cane slated for October 15. The ceremony that took place on Tuesday October 10, at CJARC’s headquarters in Ekounou was co-sponsored by the ministries of social affairs, MINAS, posts and telecommunications, MINPOSTEL, youths and civic education, MINJEC, and of arts and culture, MINAC.

Second wouri bridge in Douala now operational

The second bridge over river wouri in Douala has gone operational after four years of intense work. Though circulation which kicked off today is limited just to cars heading from Bonaberi to Deido, the inhabitants assured that it is a big relief for them. Officials from the Sogea- Satom company in charge of the project say the bridge is currently been used as a tasting period and will fully go operational on October 31, 2017 as initially previewed.
