The Cameroon Railway transport-Camrail is said to resume transportation on the Yaoundé-Douala train service as from the month of April 2020.
Business in Cameroon has revealed that Camrail, concessionaire of Cameroon railway networks, is getting ready to resume their train service between the towns of Yaoundé and Douala.
The interruption of this express rail service was since October 21, 2016 following the Eseka railway accident that claimed dozens of lives.
However, Cameroon government want to restart this service following her recent receipt of the last four of the nine locomotives orders from General Electric.
Meantime according to sources, the railway company will renovate old cars once again to increase the transport offer between the economic and political towns of the country. Also seeking to satisfy the need of customers since the company lacks new passengers' cars.
And when the renovation is achieved, the company is good and determine to start service in the month of April 2020.
