Youthconnekt Cameroon: Validation of the Project Document by Public Administrations and Corporations.

As part of the upcoming launch of the YouthConnekt Initiative in Cameroon with the support of the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, presides over a working session on tuesday november 19, 2019.

The Conference room of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education serves as a reception ground for Officials of Public Administrations and Public companies, which marks part of preparations against the upcoming official launch of the Youthconnekt Cameroon initiative come December 2019. This working session aims at ensuring the validation of the YouthConnekt Cameroon project Document by Public Administrations and Companies.

Speaking during this session, Mounouna Foutsou expresses his gratitude for haven chaired the session. He points out that YouthConnekt Cameroon is an initiative which seeks to connect young people to their models, peers and experts and enable them gain access to economic opportunities offered by developing partners in the youth sector. Minister Mounouna Foutsou encourages these officials from Public Administrations and companies to mutualise their efforts and support this initiative, for its achievement requires the effective engagement of youths, public authorities, the private sector, civil society organisations, not living out bilateral and multilateral stakeholders.

In her speech, Audrey Moneyang, focal point of the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), speaks on behalf of this organisation, ensuring the Minister of Youth Affaires and Civic Education of UNDP’s support in youth empowerment issues. She further says that the organisation is ready to work in synergy with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education so as to combat the challenges undermining Cameroonian young people. She further encourages officials of Public Administrations and companies to adhere to this initiative as she points out that one of the pull factors influencing the success of this initiative in Rwanda constitute the joint efforts of partners involved in this initiative.
