“Immunization alone can save us from this situation.” indicated Dr Guy Sandjon, the president of the National Doctor s' Order of Cameroon. To him “it's true that there are incidents” but “all treatments have the incidents”. However, “The benefit-risk ratio must always be very important.” the Dr. added.

They are in for a mass vaccination campaign against the coronavirus pandemic, said Dr. Guy Sandjon as he spoke to the press “We told the Prime Minister the need for Government to protect the population” he said. According to him one of these ways “could be through vaccines.”

Acknowledging that the population has since been frightened by revealed side effects of some Covid-19 vaccines, Dr.  Dange said medicines and vaccines all have side effects. But the vaccination will certainly curb the spread of this deadly virus. Citing countries like Ghana, Togo, Senegal that are using vaccines already, the Doctor urged that Cameroonians should be vaccinated for family protection.

However, even when the vaccination starts nobody will be forced to be vaccinated, Dr Guy Sandjon clarified.

Meantime, the first 200,000 dosages of the Chinese Sinopharm anti-COVID-19 vaccine will get to Cameroon on April 11th, according to Government sources.
