JCI Launches 2021 Activities.
Junior Chambers International (JCI) Cameroon has launched activities for 2021. The ceremony took place on Friday 15th January, 2021 in the Yaoundé sports complex. This dignified annual ceremony brought together partners, public institutions and all JCI members across the country.
The Non-profit Organization with over two thousand members in about one hundred countries has been in Cameroon for 32 years. Flavien Kouatcha, 2019 National president described JCI as a place of opportunities for active youths. He further added that opportunities in JCI are unlimited as its members network with people all over the world while learning some self development and business skills that helps them understand not just themselves but their communities too.
With the JCI mandate for the position of president being one year, a new president was installed. The ceremony saw the handover of Babila Emmanuel G.T president of JCI Cameroon 2020 to Antoine Yannick Mbassi, president 2021. Antoine Yannick who described leadership as respect presented his team and added that, his mandate will be focused on accelerating change while calling on its member for more activism, concentration and more participation for them to move forward.
Present at the event was the second deputy Mayor of Yaoundé two, Essomba Beaufort who urged the new JCI government to bring towards them the different issues faced by youths as they plan to collaborate with them to achieve necessary goals. Also present was OND Stephane, Director in charge of Small and Medium Size Enterprises at the Ministry of Small and Medium size Enterprises. He focused on laying more light on what the ministry has done so far for small and medium size enterprises. He highlighted the presence of incubators that assist young entrepreneurs and the importance it small businesses being legal.
With a show of satisfaction, partners reemphasized their commitment towards not just the growth of JCI Cameroon but of its members and all youths too. Some JCI Cameroon Major activities for 2021 will include the Start-up Academy (best business Plan Competition) in March, Peace summit in April and World Clean up Day in September.
