Mozambique government is therefore encouraging farmers to practice significant cultivation of drought-resistant crops such as cassava and potatoes as inhabitants in the area are already faced with acute hunger. Though the crops are non-traditional in Mapulanguene, they are the best option now according to Mr. Djinge.
