A Cameroonian in Northern Ireland identified as Fabrece Nguegoub, 26 has been sanctioned for allegedly masturbating in public. He has been charged of indecent behavior after he pleaded guilty.

A Northern Ireland- based media reported that Nguegoub was spotted in the act with his trousers around his ankles around a housing estate on the outskirts of Belfast city, on his very first day in the country.

It appears a photograph of Nguegoub was taken and authorities notified. He was then arrested on October 15 and detained until his final appearance in Belfast Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to a charge of indecent behavior.

The District Judge Fiona Bagnall has thus imposed a £150 fine on the accused including three days in custody for any non-payment.

According to the media, Nguegoub lawyer, Stewart Ballentine says his client immediately admitted his “behavior was totally unacceptable and may have caused offence, but that wasn’t his intention.”

The lawyer added that his client suffers from mental health issues. “He suffers from mental health problems, he said he had started to urinate and then followed on from that,” the media reports states.

However, the lawyer confirmed that Nguegoub had travelled from his native Cameroon to stay with his sister in the Republic of Ireland.
