Religious leaders from varied denominations across Cameroon today, November 19th, 2020 jointly prayed for Members of Parliament and their mission for the country under the annual Cameroon National Prayer Breakfast program.
The session held at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel under the theme, “God helping the nation, a focus on Cameroon.” It is meant to pray for the country and its leaders.
This 11th edition is led by Rev. Jean Libom Li Likeng, President of the Cameroon Prayer Breakfast who doubles as organizer and will bring together Christians from different denomination nationwide.
The Christians in fervent enthusiasm were entrusting Cameroon and its leaders into God’s hands through this join annual prayer session.
The MPs asked God for his support and guidance in the accomplishment of their missions in controlling government actions and producing the laws governing the country.
“Make us representatives worthy of the trust of the people and always working in their interest. Everlasting King of Kings and Lord of Lords, give us the Wisdom, Intelligence and Strength necessary for the accomplishment of our interest. In the Name of Jesus Christ we Pray Amen,” they prayed.
Cameroon National Prayer Breakfast is organized each year by the President of the Cameroon National Prayer Breakfast.
This year’s session will be taking place under a more tenses context given the persisting insecurity, dissatisfaction of citizens at the political situation of the country and power struggle ongoing between ruling government and opposition party leaders.
