Cameroon: Government Confirms Murder of Mr. Sunjo, Bamenda Educational Inspector of Economy

The Government of Cameroon on a press release has confirmed the yesterday rumored death of Educational Inspector of Economy, Keafon Luciano Sunjo in Bamenda.

He was reportedly murdered by armed men on the night of Tuesday, October 27th, 2020 in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon.

The photo about the tragic incident of the loss of life of the educator was shared yesterday October 28th on social media but as rumors but has been confirmed on a press release from the government Spokesperson, Minister Sadi. 

The tragic death of Mr. Keafon comes yet as a blow in the educational family amid the ongoing war. Teachers and school children have been highly caught up in the midst of the war becoming victim of the atrocity zones.

The press release published on October 28, 2020 by the Minister of Communication, spokesperson for the Government, René Emmanuel Sadi pledges to plunge the assassins.

"Active research is continuing with a view to the arrest of the perpetrators of this assassination", the release read in part.

The circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Keafon Luciano Sunjo, the Educational Inspector of Economy for the Northwest Region on the night of Tuesday, October 27th, 2020 in Bamenda remain unclear. It was on the morning of yesterday, Wednesday October 28th, 2020, that Mr. Sunjo’s lifeless body was discovered.

It should be noted that the inspector’s death comes up when Cameroon is still in shock following the gruesome murder of children in a school in Kumba, South West Region of Cameroon.
