Cameroon: Camair-Co Pushes Flights Resumption to yet an Undefined Date

The Cameroon Airlines Corporation, Camair-Co, has again postponed the resumption of its internal flights after it pushed the Monday October 12th resumption to Friday October 16th, 2020.

After over 7 months of both “technical break” and the COVID-19 health lockdown, Camair-co had scheduled to resume flights on Monday October 12th, 2020 but failed to do so.

The management announced that the restart of activities was postponed to Friday October 16 without giving any reason for the push.

On the eve of this later date (Friday October 16th), the management of the corporation published a release revealing that this second date has once again been postponed to an unspecified later date.

According to internal sources from the company, since April 2020, the workers received only the August 2020 salary meanwhile, the company has a running debt about CFAF115 billion.

Before this second postponement of resumption date, it was rumored last Monday that the company failed to resume because it had not met its insurance payment with the civil aviation authority.
