Diplomacy: Lazare Mpouel Bala becomes New Cameroonian Ambassador to Congo

Cameroon President Paul Biya has appointed Lazare Mpouel Bala, Former Cameroon’s Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea as the new Ambassador, extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cameroon to the Republic of Congo.

His appointment was officially revealed yesterday, Thursday October 15th on a Presidential decree. He replaces Dr. Hamidou Komidor Njimoluh who has been transferred to the same duty post to Algeria.

A seasoned Ambassador, as head of a diplomatic mission, Lazare Mpouel Bala has over 11 years of practice. He assumed and served in Guinea from 2008 to August 2020. He leaves the post to Jean Claude Desire Owono Menguele.

A task the newly appointed ambassador has to continue handling is the issue of sub-regional integration which is still a significant challenge in the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa – CEMAC zone.
