Following the disappearance of their son, a couple has filed a complaint at the Gendarmerie against the Yaoundé Central hospital.

The mother of the said child has been identified as Madam Betsem. According to her she was pregnant with twins but after delivery just one child instead of two was presented to her.

All their echography showed that the woman was pregnant with two sons, according to the couple.

However, suspicious enough at the time of delivery, the midwife delivering her chased everyone away from the room.  They equally told her that to avoid blood deviation, she should not to look at the direction of the baby's head, which she respected. But that was an alleged tactic to do away with her baby.

It became more suspicious to her when “one of the women disappeared from the room and only came back after” she had delivered.

The midwives have debunked the claims saying that their said echography were misleading –a thing the couple cannot fathom.

According to CNA the victims have waited for 17 years after they had a first delivery. Giving birth to twins was a blessing they have longed for nine months but it didn’t turn out as expected.

As of now the hospital is yet to issue an official statement regarding the accusation.
