Cameroonian Solange Yana becomes New CEO of Wafacash Central Africa

Former chief operating officer of Wafacash Central Africa, Solange Yana is now the new CEO of the same company.

The information was announced by Société Camerounaise de Banque – SCB. Serving more than 236,785 permanent clients and with a large network of banking agencies, covering the entire Cameroonian territory, SCB Cameroon employs more than 507 employees.

It was thanks to her experience as an internal and external auditor for large groups including the British American Tobacco - BAT, Ernst & Young that Solange Yana had a brilliant career as she became the chief operating officer for SCB Cameroun.

It should be noted that via the issuance of 60,000 new shares of XAF10, 000, on May 2020 Wafacash increased its capital to XAF2.6 billion from XAF2 billion.

 According to report from Business in Cameroon, these shares were fully bought and paid for in cash by the sole shareholder.

Wafacash Central Africa is a subsidiary of Wafacash Morocco. It specialises in local financial services and is a leader in international money transfers. Wafacash is part of the Attijariwafa Bank Group, one of the leading banks in Africa
