America –COVID-19: President Trump and First Lady in Confinement after Testing Positive

The Coronavirus has stepped into the White House. The US President, Donald Trump and wife, Melania Trump are both in quarantine after testing positive for the virus on October 1st, 2020.

The news was disclosed by both the President and wife on their tweeter pages as they agreed they will be going into quarantine until they regain their health.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” President Trump announced in a tweet.

On her part, the first lady twitted, “As too many Americans have done this year, @potus& I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.”

Meanwhile, the President’s doctor, Sean Conley in a statement, also said the president and wife “are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during treatment”.

President Trump and Opponent Biden in a Presidential Debate

It is essential to note the President Trump tested positive three days after returning from his first Presidential debate with Democratic opponent, Joe Biden (Presidential candidate for the 2020 US Elections), in Ohio.

According to the information circulating so far, the President travelled by Air Force One with one of his advisers , Hope Hicks, who also recently tested positive for the virus.

This comes at a time President Trump was bracing up for the second Presidential Debate on October 15th, 2020 in Miami. Will this affect the Presidential Race? Many are questioning.
