Cameroon: After Months of COVID-19 Break, Indomitable Lions to Resume Matches

Cameroon's Indomitable Lions to soon begin sport activities after over five months of halt due to the coronavirus pandemic threats.

The players have been shortlisted to partake in a join training session slated for October 5th to the 13th in the Netherlands.

This is in preparation for the African Cup of Nations 2022 qualification matches that will be announced today by the Indomitable Lions' head coach, Antonio Conceicao.

The players shortlisted for the games will be disclosed in a press conference which is to be granted by the National Team's head coach Yaounde.

As the number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide has reached more than 28.7 million, major sporting events have been cancelled or postponed.


Meanwhile, the postponed 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be organized this time on January 16th – February 7th, 2021, though the tournament will still be tagged 2020 Total African Nations Championship.

This was announced during CAF Executive Committee on Thursday, September 10th, 2020 via video conference to discuss the future of competitions and key matters related to the development of the game.
