Cameroon Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife-MINFOF has announced that, the African Wildlife Foundation- AWF and the Tropical Forest and Rural Development-TF-RD in partnership with the Dja Forest and Wildlife Reserve have organized a series of trainings in relation to hygiene measures as well as ways of preventing zoonosis and Covid-19. The event is planned to run from the 8th to the 15th of July in Somalomo. The objective is to reinforce the economy and give knowledge to the local people around..

Cameroon: National Institute of Statistic Reveals Disturbing Statistics on Women who Suffer Domestic Violence

The Cameroon National Institute of Statistic has reportedly revealed disturbing statistics on the rate of women who suffer conjugal violence in Cameroon.The Statistics which are labelled according to the ten regions ranges upward from 26% to 64%. The Region that tops the list is the Center Region. It has 64% rate of Conjugal violence of women. The most recent one was of a man who inflicted his wife with 3rd degree burns. She later succumbed to the burns and died.

Members of the National Assembly in Cameroon have reportedly contributed the sum of CFAF 100 into the solidarity fund in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. It was the MPs own way or efforts to support Cameroon as it continue in its fight against the pandemic that is continually spreading across the country. Cameroon: Over 980 Cases of Cholera Reported in Four Regions

The statistics released by Department of Disease Control and Fight against Epidemics and Pandemics in Cameroon Ministry of Public Health revealed that 980 cases of Cholera have been recorded in the four regions of the country. According to the statistics, Littoral region tops in the number of cases. It has reportedly recorded 563 cases. The 2nd in this line is the South region with 344 cases. The South-West has so far recorded 73 and in the Centre Region there are 3cases.

Gaz du Cameroun Terminates Gas Supply Contract with Eneo, Might Pursue Legal Actions in Days Ahead over Huge Debts

On a recent release published by the owner of Gaz du Cameroon SA-GDC, Victoria Oil and Gas Plc-VOG, they will be terminating their contract with the Cameroon Electricity company-Eneo which owes them an enormous sum of over CFAF 9.30 billion. According to an estimate made by the African Development Bank-AfDB, the number of extremely poor people in Africa will by 2021 increases by 49.2million due to effects from the Covid-19 pandemic. It was Yesterday, Tuesday July 7th, 2020 in it African Economic Outlook amid the coronavirus pandemic that the bank made this revelation.
